Cypress Swamp II

I painted this swamp in a larger version. This is typical of a South Carolina swampland. It is really very beautiful. There are kinds of birds, reptiles, and other wildlife that inhabit these tranquil waters. These are the winter colors. In the summer this area will be overgrown with thick green vegetation.

Hi Linda, Love this little landscape. I like to do wetlands too. This one tells me I don't want to be there when the sun goes down and the creepy crawlies come out. Love the splash of sunshine in the lower left corner and the many trees. Really a nice job!

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
