Almost lost the value structure.....whew....I really had to work with this one...I like it though....

Loved painting this painting.....palette.....Cad Yellow Lt & Med & Deep.....Quinacridone Magenta, Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Turquoise Blue. Sap Green, Ivory Black, and Titanium White.  It was a big palette...but I needed it because I couldn't quite get the tints or shades that I was after.  This was the beginning of a turn toward larger paintings.

This was a dream to paint...I used a palette of cad yellow med, vermilion red, turquoise blue, sap green, and alizarin crimson, titanium white with naples yellow added.

I feel as though I am finally getting somewhere!  Wahooo       I used Cad Red Deep, Alizarin Crimson, Azo Coral, Ultramarine Blue, Cad Yellow Med, Titanium White....and a teeny bit of Ivory Black.  I did  a fairly detailed underpainting before I began.  After it was over I let my dogs share in the broken muffin....very appreciative:)   Oh...this is an 8"x 10" stretched canvas.  I wanted a linear layout.

I am moderately happy with the painting and I really tried to be aware of many things...the saturation is better and I think that the composition is more interesting.

This was one of the more fun sketches that I have done!

8X8 SOLD   I love painting grapefruit!  They are always so fresh and alive with color.  In this painting I used    Zinc White because it is a cool white.  I helped to cool the warms and create a cool palette. This item is for sale ONLY to continental (lower 48) United States customers.

I have a tendency to load on the paint when not when I am not thinking intently about my strokes. I also tried to use less strokes and make them count.

I worked very hard on stretching my values in gray and still keeping the white cup reading white against a white background.
