  4"X 6" Oil Linen Covered Board $90.00 Darn....I meant to follow this painting from layout to finish and I forgot!  Hopefully I will remember tomorrow.  My friend Jo MacKenzie told me of a great site that allows you to paint the photographs that the members post.  This was from a very talented photographer on site.  Setting up a still life is still one of my biggest challenges.

6"X6" $100.00 Available on my Etsy site I chose a slightly different angle to paint this from looking slightly up with the still life nearer to the top.  I tried in this painting to include more into the picture plane.  I have admired the way that Sarah Sedwick can set up a full still life in such a limited space.  It is interesting because my observation is that the objects are painted in a more generalized way with not too much detail.  At least in my case.  I look forward to working with this more in the future.  There is more green in this painting than my camera was able to pick up.  I will try and photograph again.

The vine tomatoes are still hanging in there. I sliced one for this painting. I used a straight complimentary color scheme in this painting. I feel it may need a little something else and will evaluate before I do anything. It is amazing how the smallest imperfection shows up on the computer screen. February 2, 2010 Another very chilly and rainy day today and it makes me want to huddle in my studio and paint. These very luscious tomatoes became a wonderful BLT before they were painted. Because they are small I had to cut them lengthwise to fit a sandwich. It was very tricky. They were sweet and beautiful in rich red and red orange color.
