Pomegranate

My objective today was to work as quickly and objectively as possible and paint an image that felt, smelled, and tasted like a pomegranate.  Rendering what I saw was really secondarily an goal.  It was hard because I had to stay in the moment as much as possible. Moving right along....still had to do this one twice.....I must remember that a light touch is required and not to draw the image in first....no, no , no....it is important to make marks spontaneously as you see each value and contour line.  I am looking at the drawing of Sargeant.....good place to start? “The gem cannot be polished without friction, nor man perfected without trials.” – Chinese Proverb
