In keeping with the theme of several of the other DPO artists I painted my brown sugar jar. This is a replica of the vintage jars that my grandmother used to keep pickles in. 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (archival) $75.00 plus $8.00 shippin in the US. I couldn't help but paint a close up of these beautiful bottles of nail polish. I loved the light that looked like a halo around each bottle. The colors of the shadows were equally compelling. 6X6 inches oil Blick canvas panel (Archival)
I set these orange slices on a shiny silver surface to paint them. I liked the reflection. 6X6 inches oil canvas panel $75.00 plus $8.00 shipping PURCHASE HERE

This painting was difficult to do for some reason. It was a wipe out until I finally produced a painting that I felt I liked. The yellow were a particular challenge in this one. 5x7 INCHES OIL RAYMAR CANVAS PANEL (ARCHIVAL)
I bought these 'white' peaches and they were great to look at but not much for eating. Maybe they were not ripe. Still having fun with lots of paint and limited strokes. 5X7 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (archival)
You know,I don't wear nail polish. Every once in a while I will paint my toe nails. I have, on the other hand, always had a fascination for the varied colors of polish and lipstick. I also enjoy the shapes of the bottles. This red foil heart box is my button box. I am sure that it once was home to chocolates but that has been a very long time ago. When I put these items together I enjoyed the interplay of light and reflection. 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (archival)
I keep this starfish up on the top shelf in my studio. My late golden retriever, Sky, ate half a starfish many years ago thinking it was food. He lived for many years after that encounter, but, I am aware that these are enticing little morsels to some dogs! 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (Archival)
I am very fond of these glass dishes with bands of color around them. They are from the 1950's I think. The strawberries were in my refrigerator and I just thought that they'd pair nicely with the glassware. 6x6 INCHES OIL RAYMAR CANVAS PANEL (ARCHIVAL)
I LOVE 'girl' things like lipstick, perfume, nail polish bottles, and pretty little compact cases. In this painting I was working for limited strokes. I would lay down the paint and leave it without manipulating it in any way. 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (Archival)
Red Orange is another of my favorite colors. When I saw this great tea pot in one of the stores in town I wanted it right away. But, I thought and thought about it and when I went back to the store it was still there and I decided that it was mine! I am not a tea drinker but I have always loved the shapes and sizes and variety of design of teapots. In this painting I backlit the teapot with natural and studio lighting. I was experimenting with the changing values and shadow. 8X8 inches oil Raymar Canvas Panel (Archival)
