I love the minimum number of brushstrokes you took to create this piece. Fresh and spontaneous (like Julie said.)

I love how you say so much with a minimum of strokes.

Thank you very much for your comments. I struggle to keep colors clean and to say as much as I can with as little as I can. I took a class recently from Carol Marine and my objective was to learn to keep my palette from getting muddy and chalky. I learned so much from her and was grateful to be able to attend. I still work with the palette of colors she suggested and find I can get almost every color I need. Your comments encourage me....Thank You!

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
