CINNAMON SUGAR

I was pretty frantic yesterday trying to figure out what I wanted to paint. The day before had been a real wash after 4 wipe outs. Going to the grocery store seemed to be the only way I could think to stimulate my desire to paint. I always stop by the donut place just to see whats there. As much as I love doughnuts I don't eat many. But, there were two rows of these very beautiful raised muffins. I finally had my subject. I didn't eat it but wrapped it up and left it in the refrigerator for my husband.

I just discovered your blog...I admire your discipline for not rewarding yourself with the muffin after such a successful painting. Love your tonal colors and reflection!

I don't buy or make muffins very often, but I can't resist them when they're around me! The reflections are great, and the strokes on the wrapper are wonderful.

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
