For Mother's Day

I have been busy painting these ity bitty paintings as a gift for my Mother-in-Law. They are so small and I haven't painted this small that I can think of. They range in size from 1 5/8 inch, 2 X 1/2 inch to 3X 2 1/2 inch. Whew! So I will paint tonight and get something new on for tomorrow. This project just took time.

Lovely paintings!
Tiny little paintings for mom-in-law how nice. I'm wondering how they will be displayed? On easels in tiny frames, hung side by side? You are ambitious and ahead of schdule i'd say. Good for you .

How delightful, Linda! The texture of the canvas on the photos gives me an idea of how tiny these are! I supposed you used a macro lens!

She should be so pleased! The colors in these are gorgeous! I especially like the roses. Don't know how you did that so small!

Thank you all for wonderful comments! They are so small, but, I actually enjoyed every minute. You couldn't get too absorbed in detail because of the size which was a good thing!!

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
