Jar Roasted Peppers in progress

This is a bit larger painting than the one that I have been working on. I let myself go! I know that sounds funny, but I can beome so tight when painting small. My real love is working on a larger format. I intended to fix a painting and decided that the painting was worthless. Soooo in that frame of mind with pent up energy I thrust my brush into this. It felt so good!

Ahh today is glorious! We finally have weather above 38 degrees. When you live in the South the warmer temperatures spoil you. It has been cold for so long that it feels good to walk outside without a jacket.

I like this! Great composition and I can feel the fun and energy that you had with this. Love that detail on the surface.
Yes! Thank goodness for a bit warmer temperatures today in Georgia also- now just need lots of sunshine and all will be back right!

Your colors are always so good! I love this composition so that large shadow is a big part of the painting. Really nice, Linda!

Happy New Year!

I love to visit your gorgeous paintings, never overworked, beautiful colors and brushstrokes!
Gorgeous beautiful colouring Linda as usual. I also loved your Geisha Dolls. Well done, and all the best. Happy New year to you all.
Vic.
It's hard to believe you think of your own work as tight. I always think of it as lush, loose and juicy.

Happy New Year.

Great colors! Love those juicy reds and yellows. I know it makes an impact at the larger size. Would love to be able to see it up close!

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
