VANITY SOLD

I LOVE 'girl' things like lipstick, perfume, nail polish bottles, and pretty little compact cases. In this painting I was working for limited strokes. I would lay down the paint and leave it without manipulating it in any way.

Great energy created with your clean lively brush work and I love the simple shapes that work together to create a whole composition.
Very nice... reminds me of Peggy Kroll Roberts' work. Light loose and FUN!!!

Good job! That is a difficult task, but I think you handled it well. The urge to go back and rework a stroke can be overpowering! A very pleasing painting with so few strokes!

One of the things I love so much about your work is your efficiency of strokes and this one is soooo good! That red bottle pulls everything together so beautifully and makes such an interesting reflection in the lipstick tube. Love it!
This is a fun subject and the simplicity of the shapes is very appealing. Of course, the red polish really holds it together. I am sure it won't last long on your Etsy site.

Did tons of nail polish about 2 yrs ago, loved them then, love them now. The shades and tones are great not only on our nails right. Love this piece!!!

Hi Linda:
I am trying again to post a comment to you. Sure hope this time it works for me.
Love you nail polish bottles! I have always wanted to try painting them, and now I have 'polish envy'.
Nice work.

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
