Jello paper cut painting


Many monthes ago there was a challenge to paint a dish of jello and a spoon...I never entered this piece and while rummaging around I found the paper painting and thought that it was nice enough to show. Funny how distance from something changes our perspective.

Thanks Virginia...they are fun to do but very tedious because the pieces are so small.

Hello Vic, thanks for stopping by! The paper cut painting is really like a collage. I use special colored paper (coloraid paper) because of the beauty and wide range of colors. I cut free hand the shapes and then use acid free glue to adhere them to the surface. It is fun, but oh so time consuming. I used to do a lot of them, but, now just now and then. LITTLE ORANGE TEAPOT SOLD

Red Orange is another of my favorite colors. When I saw this great tea pot in one of the stores in town I wanted it right away. But, I thought and thought about it and when I went back to the store it was still there and I decided that it was mine! I am not a tea drinker but I have always loved the shapes and sizes and variety of design of teapots. In this painting I backlit the teapot with natural and studio lighting.
