Jello paper cut painting

Many monthes ago there was a challenge to paint a dish of jello and a spoon...I never entered this piece and while rummaging around I found the paper painting and thought that it was nice enough to show. Funny how distance from something changes our perspective.

Hmmm, that is quite different Linda. Reminds me of the mosaics I played with as a child.

Thanks Virginia...they are fun to do but very tedious because the pieces are so small.

Hello Vic, thanks for stopping by! The paper cut painting is really like a collage. I use special colored paper (coloraid paper) because of the beauty and wide range of colors. I cut free hand the shapes and then use acid free glue to adhere them to the surface. It is fun, but oh so time consuming. I used to do a lot of them, but, now just now and then. Thank you for liking my cherries painting!
Oh I LOVE Color aid paper. This is fabulous!

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
