Value Study

I will be doing a little value work on the next couple of paintings. My intention is to do this painting again only with different value structures. Can you tell that I got my newest PKR DVD?;)

It looks cute Linda! I cannot marry a value study with a painting and failed when I tried! So it is back to adding values afterwards.

Adorable little painting! So loose and confident! Gorgeous, uplifting colors!

I love all of your paintings so very much and for so many different reasons. This is luscious and rich with beautiful colors and what must be, the thickest paint ever! Have you ever watched Gamblin Colors video on color? Click on navigating color space, I love the way the color wheel is broken down and explained, especially the info on values.
I'm lovin' the bright cheery colors and I'm looking forward to seeing your other value studies. Its exciting to see things done in series.

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
