My DayLilies

Someone asked me if I ever did landscape and I thought about it. Not very many. I thought that today I would paint my daylilies from a photo I did last year.

Hello Linda,

You checked my blog out last week. Thanks for that. I love your work, quite sculptural. I had a chance to study under Carol Marine for a week a couple of years ago when she came up here to Canada. Would love to take another workshop again someday. Maybe I will travel to the US for that. Love this painting. My day lilies are just coming up here. I look forward to painting them again this year.
will visit again soon!

Hi Linda, thanks for your post, I am in love with these daffodils. Yes, sculptural, and perfect soft values and color. Just right...

I love your colors, Linda, the softness give a peaceful feeling. The composition is very good with interesting negative spaces.
Lovely job on this one Linda. The softness of the color is perfect for the subject matter. It has a real "spring feel".
Hi Linda.
Brilliant painting of these flowers. I love your style of painting, wonderful. All the best.

Beautiful daylillies, Linda! As everyone has said, the colors so soft. I also like the blue diagonal behind the flowers. The gray greens are perfect. Nice job!!

Yes, lovely palette and beautiful flat patterns and it's just lovely. I love that quality about many of your paintings, my eye just lingers around and around. Wonderful.

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
