Bill and Liz at the Swamp

This is another swamp view from the photos that I took last month. I wanted to attempt placing figures in this small format. The swamp is wearing its winter colors. In a month or so the wild flowers and greenery will completely encase these woods with dense folliage. It really is beautiful in a primal way.

I've always been fond of 'abstract realism'-- that is the abstraction in the everyday and nature. This painting is a great example.

I love this painting, you have a natural sense of composition, Linda! And also nowadays, such prolific output! I have a great love of people shown from the back. It makes the viewer aware of the body language.
brilliant painting Linda. Those figures are really standing there and enjoying the scenery. Well done again. I love your style of painting. Better than abstract painting eh?

I really like this painting, Linda. I agree with Marie in that I love seeing figures from the back. Bob and Liz seem to be taking in all the scenery. Nice job!

I feel like I'm standing directly behind these two, the feeling of light is perfect.

Linda that is going to be my challenge as well when I start on my 6 x 6 squares (i just got them in the mail.) Putting figures in that small space will be a new experience for me, haha and I think you did a good job in this piece. Nice work Linda.

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
