Red Earthen Ware Pot

This is quick little study done on Arches oil paper.  It is 11 3/4"x 8".  One of the tips that I learned from my recent DVD was to wash the surface with a light coat of linseed oil before painting...the paint glides so much easier.  You can purchase the painting here.

Thanks, Vic!.....I had fun with this one....I am trying to learn how to set up a still life that is interesting and colorful....not an easy task for me.

LITTLE ORANGE TEAPOT SOLD

Red Orange is another of my favorite colors. When I saw this great tea pot in one of the stores in town I wanted it right away. But, I thought and thought about it and when I went back to the store it was still there and I decided that it was mine! I am not a tea drinker but I have always loved the shapes and sizes and variety of design of teapots. In this painting I backlit the teapot with natural and studio lighting.
