I really enjoyed painting this painting.  It felt a little bit out of my comfort zone because I have been painting on much smaller canvases.  In this painting I tried some things that I have seen some of my favorite artists do when laying out and painting.  It worked.

There are a number of people whose work I find inspiring...Kathryn Thompson, Peggi Kroll Roberts, Van Gogh, Manet,....just lots of people...I think that I am emerging a little bit more and I just don't quite know where it is going. I just have to trust that I will end up somewhere that I like.

VANITY SOLD

LITTLE ORANGE TEAPOT SOLD

Red Orange is another of my favorite colors. When I saw this great tea pot in one of the stores in town I wanted it right away. But, I thought and thought about it and when I went back to the store it was still there and I decided that it was mine! I am not a tea drinker but I have always loved the shapes and sizes and variety of design of teapots. In this painting I backlit the teapot with natural and studio lighting.
