From My Garden...Pink Hybiscous...floral by Linda Hunt

18X24"
A pink hybiscous from my garden.  I love the crepe like petals and the deep red interior.  This was great to paint and I enjoyed every stroke.  There is something magical about painting on a large support.

This is STUNNING! I love your work and if ever I had the opportunity to paint with you, i'd take it!! Do you ever teach? I live in Summerville on the other side of Walterboro so we are not far from each other. Just wondering. Until then, I'll continue to admire your painting style!! (maybe save my pennies and purchase one for myself!!) :)

Thank you very much Mary!! I took a look at your paintings and they are wonderful...I admire landscape painting so much...you have a wonderful loose, beautiful style. I don't teach but maybe we could paint together sometime.

Your hybiscous flowers are just beautiful. I'm in such awe of how easily you move back and forth between size formats. So lovely!
A real beauty, the flower and the painting! Nice one Linda!

Linda, this is absolutely stunning. It has the freshness of a watercolor, too. I love the area inside the bloom where the light and dark meet.

Thank you Kathryn, Carol,Alison, and Kathy. This hybiscus was a real find this Spring. The colors are remarkable.
Catching up on artblogs today, just wanted to tell you that this one really caught my eye. It's very aesthetically charming and appealing. Your use of the different colors makes it pop more too, I think.

Thank you for sharing it, I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
