Peach Roses II floral still life Linda Hunt

10X10" I am working hard at painting roses.  There are many things to think about, but keeping a light touch and accurate drawing is very important.
4X6" This painting was painted for the DPW challenge this week. I was very excited because I bought one of the Carol Marine and David Marine still life stage setups here  and it is a wonderful tool.  Because the light is captured inside of the 'tent' it made painting so much easier.  I highly recommend this device!

Matisse Petunia floral by Linda Hunt

I pushed this painting a little with color and mark making.

'Red Trumpet Flower' floral by Linda Hunt

10X8"   I grew these trailing trumpet flowers last year.  They are a beautiful deep red that catches the light with an orange red glow.

'Waterlily'..... floral by Linda Hunt

SOLD 8X8" My husband has several beautiful water gardens which he cultivates...yes, complete with fish!  One of the waterlilies is a gorgeous white.  This beautiful white lily was nestled beneath the rich fleshy green leaves when I captured the image.

White Daisy floral by Linda Hunt

SOLD 6X6" This is a small painting of one of the daisies in my garden.  I cropped the image to focus in on the subtle turn of the petals and look into the interior of the flower.

From My Garden...Pink Hybiscous...floral by Linda Hunt

18X24" A pink hybiscous from my garden.  I love the crepe like petals and the deep red interior.  This was great to paint and I enjoyed every stroke.  There is something magical about painting on a large support.

From My Garden

These beautiful flowers grow on a tree in my garden...I look forward to these blooms every summer.

Orange Organic Beets

SOLD   I looked at these bunches of orange organic beets several weeks ago and just couldn't bring myself to buy them...until yesterday!  I love the color and shape of them.  They were a blast to paint.  There was just soooo much color.  Now.  To figure out how to eat them! Aren't they a gorgeous color?

'Pink Rose' floral still life by Linda Hunt

4X6" I photographed my fading roses and this is one of the images that I liked.  I worked very hard to lay down strokes of color and leave them without much alteration.
