I think it is brave with a capital 'B". Because the one bottle pointed at me is compelling and could be to forceful an element but because of where it is cropped it allows a tiny bit of breathing room . Just enough to let my eye wander in . Then the lipstick top balances that decision with being just 1/2 off the page . As if you are saying "I am playing with you" I am both coloring inside the lines and outside the lines too. The perfume bottle is topaz fabulousness. The stopper just the right values to read as glass. The reflected colors are so beautiful on the lower right hand side. so what do I think? Lots and lots.... I'm all in on this little gem.

I LOVE 'girl' things like lipstick, perfume, nail polish bottles, and pretty little compact cases. In this painting I was working for limited strokes. I would lay down the paint and leave it without manipulating it in any way. 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (Archival)
Red Orange is another of my favorite colors. When I saw this great tea pot in one of the stores in town I wanted it right away. But, I thought and thought about it and when I went back to the store it was still there and I decided that it was mine! I am not a tea drinker but I have always loved the shapes and sizes and variety of design of teapots. In this painting I backlit the teapot with natural and studio lighting.
