Pop Bottle Candies



When I was a little girl I remember getting these wax pop bottle candies...only I remember that they were held in a tiny cardboard pop container like the large bottles of pop. I used to love to drink the sugar water and then chew the wax. When I saw these in the grocery store all of those memories of hot, dusty, Wyoming summer days flooded my mind. It was oh so simple then and so pleasurable.

Voting day here in SC....I was so excited to cast my ballot!!

LITTLE ORANGE TEAPOT SOLD

Red Orange is another of my favorite colors. When I saw this great tea pot in one of the stores in town I wanted it right away. But, I thought and thought about it and when I went back to the store it was still there and I decided that it was mine! I am not a tea drinker but I have always loved the shapes and sizes and variety of design of teapots. In this painting I backlit the teapot with natural and studio lighting.
