Classic Preparation

This is the kind of preparation that is common in my kitchen. I loved this polka dot fabric the moment I saw it and thought that it would make a perfect backdrop for my stuff! My blender is my trusty sidekick. I love making smoothies with lots of ice; they are almost ice cones when I am finished. The great little rolling pin I found in my favorite thrift store here in Beaufort. The handles are what attracted me to it. I'm not sure what I am mixing up here, but, the eggs seemed appropriate.

A beautiful painting, I just finished making some cornbread to go with some beans I picked and new potatoes in my garden. In general I spend much more time painting than doing any kind of cooking! What I do cook doesn't usually look like much of a still life.

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
