PortraitDay12

This portrait is of a young girl and while I like the drawing it is not quite as young as the photograph depicts. I will try again. I am posting it because I like it. I have done a few of them, but, not many and feel happy with the results of this one. I have a portrait of a young boy that I will post soon...it is an older one done a number of months ago.

Linda, this is a lovely drawing. I have great appreciation for what you are doing. All afternoon I've been trying to draw the lighter featured on the DPW Challenge. Great training for the eye!
Pretty girl!! Nicely done
Hi Linda.
It is a wonderful portrait. And your first one, It`s hard to believe that anybody can produce a good portrait like this for the first time. You have done extremely well Linda. All the best.

Hi all...thank you for your comments!
Victor...No, its not my first one, I have done very few so far...I have probably done under 5 or 6. I am sorry if I misled anyone. I will need to change the way I worded that. Linda

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
