Linda Hunt

I have been busy working with my new mica color infused waterolours.  They are so much fun.....it really doesn't show the shimmer over the internet....but they really shimmer and sparkle.

This 8"x 8" oil painting is painted on stretched canvas.  It is cherry season and I just can't get enough!  I learned something important in this set up.  I have made color swatches and I was able to plan a layout knowing what kind of colors I wanted in the final painting.  I also did a very complete underpainting as Sarah Sedwick suggested and it made painting so much easier.

4"X 6" Oil on Panel SOLD     LOVE fresh cherries! I fell in love with the deep rich red of these delicious cherries. Getting the deepest red was a challenge, but I managed to get the almost black red that I was looking for. This painting is 4"X 6" painted on a canvas panel. 6X6 $70 Available on my Etsy site   My heart aches over the tragedies the past few weeks have heaped on our country, families, and all tender spirits.  May we find comfort during these difficult days. I have had great difficulty painting and this little pig became my greatest nemesis.  But, I persevered knowing that I would bring it around.  I did...now I must try again!!!

I have searched my garden books for the name of this purple flower and can't find what it is. If any one knows please let me know. I think it is an annual. It sort of looks like a gloxinia doesn't it? 6X6 inches oil canvas panel

Cherries are here!!! I remember my grandmother having huge bowls full of cherries when they were in season. They always bring me back in years to a Wyoming summer! 6X6 inches oil canvas panel

I know that marachino cherries may not be good for you but they hold a special place in my memory. During the 60's it seemed that they were in jello, desserts, on ice gream, in breads and of course fruit cake. 8x8 inches oil canvas panel If you are interested in purchasing this painting please contact me via email on Etsy.
