BRIGHT RED DAISYSOLD

This daisy is from my garden...I bought the plant three years ago and this is the first year that it has done exceptionally well. Maybe it is the hot weather and constant sun that we have been experiencing. 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (Archival)

GOOD MORNING SUNSHINE!

This bowl makes me so happy...I found it in a Thrift store and snatched it right up. The spoon is part of a set of Bakelite handled spoons from probably the 1930s. The fact is yellow is an incredibly difficult color for me to work with and so I welcomed the challenge. 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (Archival)

SUMMER'S BOUNTY

The thing I love about cantaloupe is not only the taste but the color. Red orange is one of my very most favorite colors. We had this melon yesterday for dinner when the temperature outside was 110 degrees with the heat index. It was refreshing!!! 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel

VINEGAR AND HONEY

There is an old saying "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" that my mother in law used to say. While looking through my pantry I thought about this saying as my gaze fell upon the new bottle of fresh field honey brought by my husband from a local bee farmer. I loved the color and thought that it paired nicely with the bottle of apple cider vinegar. SWEET CHERRIES

I have a set of these wonderful dessert dishes that I believe to be from the 1950's. Remember when there were metal drinking glasses in solid colors? Well, these dessert dishes are made from the same materials. They have a fluted glass dish that sits inside of them. They were the perfect combination for these large luscious cherries that I bought yesterday at the grocery. CINNAMON SUGAR

I was pretty frantic yesterday trying to figure out what I wanted to paint. The day before had been a real wash after 4 wipe outs. Going to the grocery store seemed to be the only way I could think to stimulate my desire to paint. I always stop by the donut place just to see whats there. As much as I love doughnuts I don't eat many. But, there were two rows of these very beautiful raised muffins. I finally had my subject. I didn't eat it but wrapped it up and left it in the refrigerator for my husband. 6X6 inches oil Raymar canvas panel (archival) PURCHASE HERE

The salt marshes are all around us and are a continual changing enviornment. I find them fascinatingly beautiful. This was painted from a photograph that my husband took while kyaking in early spring. The grasses are an intense yellow green at this time of the year.
