The purple and yellow make a very pleasing painting. I really like how you handled the background.

Love checking out your blog from time to time. I always find something inspiring! the loose, quick approach to this one caught my eye. Maybe dropped petals would be alright too!

Beautiful colors. Flowers are so pretty. When the petals start to fall, paint that also:) Will be interesting composition also.

Thank you, Victor...I really appreciate your comment. I have been working hard on my compositions and painting skills. The addition of a daily drawing will eventually help me in my painting, I think! All the best, Linda!

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
