PINK ZINNIAS #4

These little pink zinnias are from my garden. The gardens took quite a hit this summer with HOT HOT temperatures and very little water. So, these are some of the surviving flowers. In this painting I wanted to work with the paint almost as one would work with a palette knife. It is brushwork, but I used a lot of paint. I liked the effect.

Tremendous effect with the thick brushstrokes Linda. And like the suggestion of the glass container - so very nice!

This has an abstract quality, Linda. I like the way you handled the glass. Very nice!

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
