GIANT RED PEPPER SOLD

This is the most beautiful pepper, well formed, and vibrant in color. I intened to use it in a salad but wanted to paint it before I cut it. I think after having painted it that I will paint the cut version next. With this painting I made an initial drawing in a dark neutral and then laid the colors into the established value areas. What I like about this tecnique is the clarity and desicive brush work.

You over came your slump in a big hurry. This painting is fabulous. The red is so vibrant, the blue so bright, the background so complimentary, and the purple shadow is perfect. I love this painting. Can't wait to see the cut version.
Lovely bright colors! Feast for the eyes and the tummy.

Pretty in Pink

I am on a Peony roll here.....just enjoying the process of painting and color.  Can be purchased here .

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
