Big Red

I can not tell you how trying this painting was. I wiped out 4 times before I finally got a painting that I was pleased with. I am not sure what kind of flower this is but I think it is a big red tulip. The center was a beautiful gold color.

Linda, I think you are the 'queen of reds'. I have never seen the color red used in so many hues, and being so luminous and luscious!

I think you are correct, Linda. This is a Tulip and done beautifully, I might add.

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
