This is a preliminary sketch for a painting of a woman bathing. I want to do this in paint.  Each week Daily Paintworks offers up a challenge to artists covering a wide variety of subjects.  The sketch was indeed a challenge to try and get the proportions right..

Linda I love this drawing. I think it was very well done. I like it as a finished drawing ... but, painted I'm sure it will be great.

Nancy, thank you for the encouraging words. I know that it is a little rough because I had to work it so much...but I liked it too as a finished drawing.

LITTLE ORANGE TEAPOT SOLD

Red Orange is another of my favorite colors. When I saw this great tea pot in one of the stores in town I wanted it right away. But, I thought and thought about it and when I went back to the store it was still there and I decided that it was mine! I am not a tea drinker but I have always loved the shapes and sizes and variety of design of teapots. In this painting I backlit the teapot with natural and studio lighting.
