Vine Tomatoes

It came to my attention that these vine tomatoes were on their way out and that if I wanted to paint them today had to be the day. Have you ever had great expectations about painting something only to decide that something else is more interesting. I bought these tomatoes thinking that I'd rush home and paint them and then time went by and by and by.

Are you kidding me? I now have an artichoke, leeks, and peas which are on their last leg. I did paint the peas once. Just trying to get something done before they hit the garbage!

Your tomatoes look yummy and colors are beautiful. Very nice, Linda!

Hi Linda, lovely composition. Believe me, I picked the last 4 vine tomatoes this morning to decorate toasted croissants with scrambled eggs. Speaking of garbage, I used to cut open a large pumpkin and painted or sketched till it attracted funny insects and algae.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
