The Violinist

I have been wanting to paint this image for a long time....bringing to where I wanted it was tough.  I will photograph again because the sun was too bright and there is glare on the paint.  The colors are richer than depicted here.

Once again you are stretching an growing. I never know what to expect. You are the "unexpected artist". I am so glad you are back on line. I paint better when you are painting too.

Jo...thank you so much...the hiatus was good for me to mull things over and figure out just who I wanted to be and where I wanted to go. There are so many voices out there and when it comes right down to it the only voice that really counts is your own.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
