Hydrangea

I am struggling with the new interface so bear with me while I try to learn. Whew...this is really taxing. Anyway this is a painting redo that turned into an entirely different painting, which I like much better. Composition, composition, composition...the key to everything. In this painting I experimented with a little palette knife work. It was kind of fun!

Oh Linda the colors in this one are yummy. A very cheerful painting.
You did great with this composition. I use to think I did ok with composition, but the more I know the less appealing my compositions are. I like how you've drawn us into the painting here. A winner for sure.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
