What is the lesson about color?  You may have a set up with specific colors but they are merely color notes that can be changed as the painting progresses.  I work process which is the way that I painted when I was working purely abstractly.  In that progression colors are added and removed until the painting looks and feels right.  In this painting I was attracted to the color of the grapes and that is how I built the composition.  The translucent of the grapes just drew me right in and gave me a reason to paint.  It is a little like love at first sight.
This is my submission to Day 18 of the 30 in 30 challenge.  This painting can be found here.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
