Pink Peony Day 29

6"X 6"
Oil
Ampersand Gessobord
$125.00
This is my submission to Day 29 of the 30 paintings in 30 challenge hosted by Leslie Saeta.  I thought that this peony was going to be a snap to paint but is turned out to be anything but easy.  There were so many value changes that it was important to keep the Notan firmly rooted in the process.  This painting can be found here.

You did such a nice job. You held the notan and your palette is so rich. I agree with Celeste..beautiful.
Linda, Enjoyed your paintings very much and I love your loose style. It was fun to do the challenge and meet new friends.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
