Lightbulb challenge still life by Linda Hunt

4X6"

SOLD

Last weeks challenge on DPW was to paint a light bulb and this was my entry.  I just let myself enjoy the colors and shapes.  I have to admit that painting a light bulb is much more difficult than it would seem logical.  I bought this gorgeous orange cloth yesterday and had to use it for a backdrop.  I  enjoy using intense color.

Ooh - love that orange color! Great background choice and the bulb is well painted, too. Gorgeous!

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
