STRAWBERRIES SOLD

I am very fond of these glass dishes with bands of color around them. They are from the 1950's I think. The strawberries were in my refrigerator and I just thought that they'd pair nicely with the glassware.

Linda - I think I have this dessert dish! These are great strawberries - I find reds so hard! And nice work on the glass, too!
Linda, Brilliant, Brilliant and brilliant. I love it. All the best Linda.

Such a nice light infuses this one, and I agree the reds are amazing!
Love the lush reds against the white, and your dreamy, silky painting sytle. Looks like you use a lot of medium to get it flowing - very nice. And the 1950 dessert glass is a nice touch too. Congrats!

Hi Kelley...thank you... I have the plate that goes with this dessert cup and I just love them. I think they may have come out around the time of the Fiesta ware. Anyway, they remind me of Fiesta ware.

Thanks Polly...I love working with reds...it was the light that I was really responding to. It illuminated the reds so beautifully.

Hi Debbie...I don't really use that much medium. A teeny tiny bit of the 3 part medium of damar, linseed oil, and thinner. Mostly I just use a teeny tiny bit of thinner. Thank you so much for stopping by to comment!

This is nice how you handled the reds. I like the composition spilling off the edges too. You do such a nice job on these itty-bitty (to me) 6x6" size.
This is just beautiful!!!
