LEMONS SOLD


This painting was difficult to do for some reason. It was a wipe out until I finally produced a painting that I felt I liked. The yellow were a particular challenge in this one.

I think yellow is challenging. You've gotten lots of yellow values, cools and warms. When I fell this way, I try another until it gets comfortable.

Great variety of yellows and they all work so well together. Those touches of purple are the perfect compliment.

If this piece had difficulties for you, you'd never know it Linda. I love lemons. I think they have a kind of creamy aroma to them when they are first cut as well.

Yellows can be tricky but you did a nice job with these...perseverance pays off!
