VINEGAR AND HONEY

There is an old saying "You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar" that my mother in law used to say. While looking through my pantry I thought about this saying as my gaze fell upon the new bottle of fresh field honey brought by my husband from a local bee farmer. I loved the color and thought that it paired nicely with the bottle of apple cider vinegar.

I love this Linda--the way you did the label and the humor of it. We have a hive and those bees have been VERY busy. Great painting.

Gorgeous work! You've created the viscous texture of honey and the thin transparency of the vinegar perfectly. Great light!

Thank you Stephanie and Carol...the label was really fun to do. I wanted to keep it subdued.

Thank you Gwen...as I said previously the honey was a really difficult and it took finding just the right values and color. I was looking for the light that would show the transparency of the vinegar.
