SUMMER'S BOUNTY

The thing I love about cantaloupe is not only the taste but the color. Red orange is one of my very most favorite colors. We had this melon yesterday for dinner when the temperature outside was 110 degrees with the heat index. It was refreshing!!!

What a rich, sumptuous... "delicious" feast for the eye and the tummy Linda!

Your loose... but well executed brushwork simply carves your image out of the complementary backdrop that you have created!

A beautiful piece... by any taste!''

Good Painting!

So nice, graphic and clean!
Love the colors in this painting...the variety of greens and yellow orange stand out against the blues.

As fresh as summer itself!

I love the simplicity of this painting. I especially like the thin green line around the rind, and the darker shadow colors in the center and back of the slice. They really stand out against the beautiful color of the flesh.

And I like cantaloupe better than watermelon. I have since I was a little girl, which my friends thought was amazing.

Sandra, it is pretty graphic not exactly what I had in mind but I went with it anyway when it began to imerge! Thank you I always enjoy your comments.

Thank you Catherine...I appreciate your comments and really want you to know how much I enjoy your work!

Marie, thank you! You have such a poetic response to art...I enjoy youur comments.

Virginia, thank you for stopping by and commenting! It is funny but when I was little I used to eat cantaloupe and green apples with a salt shaker in hand! Now we know that is not such a good idea. Better than watermelon? That is amazing!! HA HA

Great painting! 110F though? Our temps in VA have been in the 100 to 108 range, and I think I'd have to bathe in cantelope for it to have any effect on me at those temps! :)

This is such a delicious painting!!! I can just taste the juice running off the edges of the melon!!! Wish I could be that loose!

I want to take a spoon & dive in, such a refreshing piece. The heat doesn't seem to effect your paintings or did you eat a WW ice cream bar before you started?

The melon looks delicious! There's nothing like fresh, cool fruit on a hot day.
