Apples on White Plate

We had a frightful storm last night and I was all cozy in my studio with this painting. Sometimes things just seem to flow. It helps when you take a break for a couple of days and then feel a fresh spark for painting. I love jig saw puzzles and spent my time between putting a few pieces together and then painting. It was great!

Hi, Linda. I just now visited your blog for the first time, and I am wondering why I'm the first one to comment on "Apple on White Plate." Your abstract background really comes through here, and the slightly desaturated colors with a few strong accents are beautifully handled. I love it.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
