Sheltered

This is a bit of a rework, but I think that I like it.  I am trying to include painting from memory and feeling in my paintings.  I worked from a photograph initially and then went back in and remembered what it felt like to be here at the salt marsh in November when she wore her Fall colors.

I love this palette, this mood. Such a nice way to revisit. I think it is working for you.

Thank you, Helen...I am just wading through this trying to find myself. One of the problems I find for myself is that a photo is tempting to try to recreate the image exactly and that leaves out so much that can be done. I appreciate your comment more than you can imagine.

This has such a relaxed and peaceful feel to it. And I love the colors.

Thanks, Jerry...I wish that I could get outside and do some plein air painting. I think it would be so much fun.

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
