It Falls Like Rain

I am not sure why I chose this title except that the painting made me feel like rain inside. Not a bad feeling just a solemn, beautiful moment.

...and that's what I felt when I saw this single flower in a simple everyday container. It's the little things in life that give us such pleasure.

Lovely one, Linda. It has a clean feel to it like after the rain :)

Hi, I've just chanced on your blog, beautiful paintings, reminds me of Ivan Hitchins (or is it Hutchins?) work in the Uk but with the lights on. Your saltmarsh is so different to my saltmarsh work from North Norfolk, UK, where I'm always struggling with many shades of grey unless the sea lavender is in bloom. I look forward to revisiting your blog.

Beautiful! For such a happy looking flower this does have a quiet feel to it. I love the petal off the edge and your simple rendering of the jar. It says a lot without noise.
