Tulips SOLD

I bought these tulips yesterday while shopping. I was surprised that they held up as well as they have. In these paintings I was trying to paint a little looser and not so deliberately. I wanted to flow more with the paint and with the values that I saw. Whether I achieved that I am not sure but it felt different.

Linda, I think they are very nice and loose. The leaf hanging over the vase in the top one is my favourite : )

Beautiful, Linda! The colors are perfect for this time of year and your brush strokes appear loose and impressionistic. Very nice!
Hi Linda.
I agree with Kim, that leaf is my favourite part of the painting, it is wonderful. You have achieved what you were aiming for, Looseness, and it is a wonderful painting, both are. All the best Linda.

I love these tulips. Their colors are soothing and I like the way they seem to be moving.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
