Garden Rose IV

My roses this year are exceptional. The bushes are simply loaded with blossoms and they are lush and full. This is the first one picked this season. I saved a little brown jar from my yeast. I love browns and the golden colors that appear when the light shines through them. This painting happened so easily today...it just flowed right off the tip of the brush.

I really like the color you used on the rose and you are right about the brown jar with the light refecting through. Nice one!

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
