Copper Dish and Peppermints

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I had just enough time today to post this painting. Peppermints may be found in the stores all year 'round, but, to me they represent Christmas. The copper dish with the bakelite piece I found in a great antique store in Cheyenne Wyoming. Oh how I miss the antique markets in the west. The red dish I found in South Carolina in a thrift store. They are such a vibrant red and have great shapes.

Hi Linda, this painting is so charming and such an original idea! Of all the things one sees on a daily basis, who would believe that these bowls and sweets would look so good!

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
