Vine Tomatoes in Silver Bowl

I was browsing one of the kitchen stores and found this wonderful hammered silver bowl. I just fell in love with it thinking, and rightly so, that it would make a terrific painting. Yesterday when I went shopping for things to paint I just couldn't pass the vine tomatoes by they were so red and luscious looking. The two items were a perfect match.
Oh but let me tell you how difficult it was to paint! The red was glowing and the silver hammered bowl proved to be a challenge. But, I like the way the little painting turned out.
This oil painting is 8 inches by 8 inches on gessoed canvas board.

Peach Peony....Day 24

6"X 6" Oil Ampersand Gessobord $125.00 I'm ready to chill out after this one.  It was really HARD!   So many petals going all different ways.  I am pleased with the results.  I have to laugh at myself....I thought of showing a step by step process in the painting of this peony....but....never looks like anything until the last few strokes!  I am happy with this painting however I got here.  This painting is found here :
