Flowers III

Star Fish

I am keeping this one high on a shelf so that Sky my golden retriever doesn't eat it. Honestly, he ate several legs off of one I had on display several years ago.

Sliced Tomato and Knife

My dog sat under the still life and monitored the painting. He is a big time tomato lover. Until I figured out what was going on, he used to steal the tomatoes off the counter in the kitchen.

Pretty Tea Cup

I searched a long time to find a very nice tea cup and saucer to paint. I loved this one because it has a wonderful shape and delicate appearance. I remember my grandmother having a hutch with many different styles and kinds of thin white china cups just like this one.

Stacked Cups

I went shopping for things to paint and just kept finding cups to purchase. The thing is they were mostly all white. Honestly, I found all white with the greatest shapes and one black one which will make it into another painting in the future. I also really enjoyed working with a very limited palette. SOLD

Sparking Lemonade SOLD

. . .loved this beautiful bottle of lemonade. . . If you are interested in purchasing any of my paintings please visit my Etsy shop. Leave a comment if you would like to. Thanks! SOLD

Sky and Stella

These are our two babies. Sky is the older golden and Stella is smaller female. We had lunch next to the salt marsh sheltered from the sun in this little gazebo structure. It was such a fun day.

At the Beach

I took this photo of my husband and our two golden retrievers at the beach. I am just beginning to paint landscapes. I did join a plein air painting group and I should get plenty of practice.

Sliced Oranges

I have been really struggling with my painting lately. I had a really difficult time with the background in this painting and am not sure that it is working.

Pear on Blue

I can not tell you how many times I painted this little painting. I wiped it out and did it again and again. I still don't think its what I had in mind but I have to live with it. I now know that I prefer working on cotton canvas as opposed to fine linen. I like the tooth of cotton canvas. SOLD
